HDA students compete in a number of “Away Shows” throughout the year.
 Located in Norfolk, NY Plumbrook Pony Farm has a Fun Show on a Saturday in June. They also offer Concourse D'Automne (a Fall Schooling Event) that is lots of fun! With a new and improved cross-country it is a great "away" event for beginner riders.
SLU Summer Series Horse Shows
provide a chance for our English riders to compete in hunter, jumper, and equitation classes.
Dates for 2011 are: April 23, May 28, June 25, Aug 27, Sept 24, Oct 8. Open Schooling will be held April 10th.
Essex County Fair Draft Horse Show has lots of under saddle and games classes for those who ride heavy horses!
Recognized Events- Students must be able to easily cross the Border into Canada where they can compete at Ottawa Horse Trials, Touch A Rainbow Horse Trials, or Oakhurst Horse Trials. Recognized events in the US are further away but opportunities do exist for students who are ready.
